Terms of service

Effective 4 June 2026.

1. Acceptance

By signing in to Vuna you agree to these terms. Vuna is operated by Tall Guys (the studio that develops Vuna (currently pre-incorporation)). If you don’t agree with these terms, please don’t use the service.

2. The service

Vuna is an orchard-intelligence and export-compliance platform for estate agriculture. The service includes field-data capture, agronomic recommendations (irrigation, nutrition, pest/disease, spraying) and the audit-grade records an estate needs for buyer audits.

Vunais currently invite-only. Accounts are issued by your estate’s manager, who is responsible for who has access and at what role.

3. Your account

  • Keep your credentials confidential.
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect someone else has used your account.
  • You are responsible for everything done under your account until you tell us it was compromised.
  • Your estate’s manager can deactivate or delete your account at any time.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape or otherwise extract data from Vuna except as the in-app interface allows.
  • Use Vuna to break the law, or to process data you have no right to process.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the system or circumvent any security mechanism. (Responsible disclosure is welcome — email hello@vuna.dev.)
  • Upload malware, attempt to disrupt the service, or interfere with another user’s account.
  • Resell or sublicense access without our written consent.

5. Recommendations are advisory

Vuna’s recommendations — irrigation volumes, fertiliser rates, spray decisions, threshold breaches, harvest-window flags — are decision support, not professional advice. The estate is responsible for the decisions it makes and for confirming any recommendation against on-the-ground conditions, label restrictions, local regulation and the judgement of qualified agronomists.

Specifically, the export-compliance and food-safety recordsVuna produces (PHI, Japan-MRL gate, spray traceability) are reflective of the data captured. They cannot make a record true if the underlying data is wrong; you are responsible for capture quality.

6. Service availability

We aim to keep Vunaavailable, but we do not commit to a specific uptime, particularly during the current invite-only phase. We may take the service offline for maintenance, and we may change or retire features with reasonable notice. We will not delete an estate’s data without telling them first.

7. Data, privacy and ownership

You and your estate own the data the estate enters into Vuna. We process it on the estate’s behalf as described in our Privacy notice. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to train third-party AI models.

If an estate stops using Vuna, we will, on request, give them a copy of their operational data and delete the rest within a reasonable period, subject to legal retention requirements.

8. Intellectual property

Vuna (the software, brand, design and content) is owned by Tall Guys. You may not copy, redistribute or build a competing product on top of Vuna’s materials. Nothing here transfers ownership of the agronomic data your estate enters — that remains the estate’s.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent allowed by law, we exclude all warranties — express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of recommendations, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Tall Guys’s total liability to you under these terms in any rolling 12-month period is limited to the greater of (a) fees you have paid us in that period, or (b) USD 100. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, punitive, lost-profit or lost-yield damages, even if we knew they were possible.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited under the governing law (see below).

11. Termination

You may stop using Vunaat any time. Your estate’s manager can deactivate or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, with notice where possible.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be flagged inside the app. If you keep using Vuna after we publish an update, you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malawi, and the courts of Malawihave exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. This default reflects where the developer, the operating estate and the data subjects are located today; we’ll update this clause if we incorporate the developer outside Malawi.
